Mission & Values

Project Rainbow Utah’s mission is to empower and uplift LGBTQ+ individuals throughout Utah by fostering visibility, promoting inclusivity, and providing crucial support through its Community Fund. The organization was founded in 2018 and aims to create a sense of acceptance and safety by placing rainbow flags and other symbols of inclusion throughout the state, fostering a community-wide sense of solidarity.

The organization’s values focus on visibility, inclusivity, and support. Their programs and initiatives target the systemic injustices faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly transgender and gender-expansive people, in areas like housing, healthcare, and employment. By raising awareness and promoting advocacy, Project Rainbow Utah seeks to foster long-term societal change, ensuring equitable access to resources and opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals.
