Order A Pride Flag That Supports the LGBTQ+ Community
You have a lot of choices when you order pride flags online. Rather than searching for the cheapest pride flags or the fastest free shipping, we invite you to buy a pride flag that directly benefits the LGBTQ+ community.
Whether you order a flag by mail or have one staked during our annual campaigns: Your purchase supports Project Rainbow and our Community Fund Grants.
That means your dollars are redistributed into the queer community to fund everything from pride festivals and poetry nights to social gatherings and workshops. Queer Utahns face extra barriers and stigma living in a red state, and when you order a pride flag from us, it makes a direct impact on our community.
This rainbow pride flag symbolizes progress and support, and purchasing from Project Rainbow helps us raise funds to help LGBTQ+ Utahns!
The Progress Pride Flag is an update on the classic rainbow flag that was first unfurled in 2018, designed by Daniel Quasar. The chevron on the left includes new colors to broaden the message of diversity and inclusion. The pink, white and blue stripes are a nod to the transgender pride flag, while the black and brown stripes represent people of color in the LGBTQ+ community.
The flag is made of durable polyester, so you can display it outside. Or inside if you want, we’re not your boss. The flag is lightweight for easy hanging at home, or hanging out at a march, and reinforced edges help reduce fraying. A pair of metal grommets make it easy to fly or put on display.
Give your garden or home a splash of color, stand up against exclusionary legislation, and make a difference with our Garden Size Sego Belonging Flag. Your order helps Project Rainbow fund inclusive, affirming events and programs for queer folks across Utah.
The Sego Belonging design is based on the standard transgender pride flag, but also includes Salt Lake City’s sego lily logo. The design was first unfurled in May of 2025 by Salt Lake City after HB 77 banned “non-official” flags, like pride flags, from being displayed at schools, public parks and other government property.
This flag makes a perfect gift for teachers or government workers who want to support the LGBTQ+ community despite the ban.
The flag includes the same design on both sides and is meant for vertical display, and it’s easy to hang thanks to a sleeve in the top.
Our 3' x 5' Non-Binary Pride Flag is a bold and affirming way to celebrate the diversity of gender identities outside the traditional binary. Designed with four horizontal stripes; yellow, white, purple and black. Yellow for people whose gender exists outside the binary, white for those with many or all genders, purple for identities that are a mix of male and female, and black for those who identify as agender. This flag embodies inclusion and visibility. Whether displayed at home, at Pride events, or in public spaces, it sends a clear message of support and solidarity.

💙 Every purchase directly supports Project Rainbow Utah’s mission to empower and uplift LGBTQ+ communities across the state.
Show your pride and support the trans community with our 3’ x 5’ transgender pride flag! Your purchase directly supports Project Rainbow Utah and our mission to empower and uplift LGBTQ+ folks across our state.
Monica Helms designed the trans pride flag in 1999, and the five bars in blue, pink, and white have become iconic. The Navy veteran from Arizona designed the flag with pink and blue because those are the colors typically associated with men and women, and included white to represent folks who are intersex, transitioning or beyond gender.
At 3-feet by 5-feet, this is the standard or full size most people expect in a pride flag. Our flags are lightweight and made of a durable polyester, making this an outdoor pride flag equally suited to displaying indoors. The flag features reinforced edges to prevent fraying and two metal grommets for easy hanging.
Celebrate progress and belonging with this smaller-size Progress Pride Flag, and support LGBTQ+ Utahns when you buy yours from Project Rainbow.
Daniel Quasar designed this update on the standard rainbow pride flag in 2018. A chevron on the left features pink, white, and blue stripes like the transgender pride flag, while the black and brown stripes represent people of color in the LGBTQ+ community.
Our garden Progress Pride Flag is a smaller flag, perfect for displaying in front of your home or indoors. The flag features the same design on both sides and is oriented for vertical display. A sleeve at the top makes it a breeze to hang or display.
The Sego Belonging Flag is a piece of Utah history and a symbol of active resistance to discrimination. Your purchase continues that legacy, as the money we raise directly supports LGBTQ+ Utahns.
After Utah passed HB 77 to ban displaying pride flags on government property, which includes schools and public parks, Salt Lake City unveiled a series of new official flags to circumvent that ban in May 2025. These flags include the instantly recognizable designs from the classic flags they are based on, but add the city’s sego lily logo. The Sego Belonging Flag is an homage to the Progress Pride Flag, and it is fully compliant with Utah’s ban on non-official flags.
The flag is made from durable polyester, equally suited to flying outdoors or as an indoor display of resilience in the face of discrimination. Reinforced edges reduce fraying, and the pair of metal grommets make it easy to fly from a flagpole or hang for display.
Our garden-sized transgender pride flag is a smaller but still mighty show of support! Speaking of support, your purchase directly benefits LGBTQ+ Utahns and helps fund community programs across the state.
Designed by Navy veteran Monica Helms in 1999, the five bars in blue, pink, and white have since become iconic. Helms featured pink and blue in her design because those are the colors typically associated with men and women, and she included white to represent folks who are intersex, transitioning, or beyond gender.
Durable enough for outdoor display, this pride flag is 12” x 18” with a sleeve at the top to make it simple to hang or to fly.
In spite of opposition, progress marches on. The Sego Belonging Flag is a perfect example, as it was designed to sidestep Utah’s HB 77, which bans displaying non-official flags like pride flags on government property.
Your purchase helps that march toward inclusion while empowering LGBTQ+ folks. The funds from Project Rainbow’s flag sales directly benefit the queer community in Utah by funding affirming spaces, events, and programs.
This smaller version of the Sego Belonging Flag is based on the Progress Pride Flag design, but also features a sego lily logo. Salt Lake City designed this variant and made it an official city flag so it could be displayed in the face of HB 77.
This flag is durable enough to be displayed outdoors, and it’s small size makes it a perfect option for hanging in an office or a classroom. A sleeve at the top makes hanging it simple, and the flag features the same design on both sides oriented for vertical display.
Pride Flags For A Cause
Buying a pride flag that supports the LGBTQ+ community is easy with Project Rainbow.
The money we raise from flag sales and flag-staking campaigns supports our organization and our Community Fund. This fund distributes grants to organizations and individuals empowering queer folks and creating inclusive spaces in Utah. We distributed more than $36,000 to 32 events, and another $18,000 to pride festivals and long-term partners in 2025.
Utah is a red state, but it’s still home to many queer folks. State lawmakers have gone after the rights of LGBTQ+ Utahns in recent years, and especially transgender Utahns, with bans on pride flags on government property, restrictions on youth access to trans affirming health care, and bans on trans youth playing sports alongside their peers.
These attacks narrow our rights, and create a chilling effect that can compromise safe spaces and shutter programs aimed at cultivating diversity and inclusion. The events Project Rainbow supports are one way to combat this harmful messaging while giving queer Utahns places to belong and thrive.
When your government doesn’t respect your rights and your dignity, finding community and accessing affirming spaces makes a world of difference. When universities cancel lavender graduations, it motivates us even more to host them ourselves. When a queer kid feels unsafe in their own neighborhood, flying a flag in your yard or hanging it in your window becomes a beacon of support. Every flag we ship supports our goal of making Utah a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for everyone.
We have several varieties of gay pride flags, including the trans pride flag and the progress pride flag, which is sometimes called a “modern pride flag.”
We also have the Sego Belonging Flag and Sego Visibility Flag, which are official Salt Lake City variants created to sidestep Utah HB 77, which banned pride flags from display at government buildings and property—including schools and public parks.
We have full-size pride flags as well as garden-size pride flags. The garden option is perfect as a rainbow flag in your window or displays nicely indoors, in a classroom for example. Either size makes a great alternative to a staked flag for folks outside our coverage area who want to support queer joy in Utah, or for folks who are worried about theft and vandalism when flying a flag outside their home.
Whether you fly your flag outdoors or hang it on the wall at home, you’re sending a message and directly supporting LGBTQ+ folks who need help.
We know you have many options when it comes to ordering pride flags online, and we’re grateful every time someone chooses to support our work by buying a pride flag from Project Rainbow!
