How Matching Gifts Work
When you donate to Project Rainbow Utah, your employer may match your donation, doubling (or even tripling!) the impact. Whether you’ve donated once or multiple times throughout the year, you can submit your cumulative gifts for a match.

A matching gift is a charitable giving program where companies match donations made by employees to eligible non-profits. It’s an easy way to multiply your impact!
How do I know if my company offers a matching gift program?
Search our list, google search, and of course: ask your HR department if the organization you work for offers matching gifts. We’re happy to help you navigate the process. Contact us for details. Many large companies, especially in the Fortune 500, have matching programs.
Can I combine multiple donations for a match?
Most employers allow you to submit cumulative donations made throughout the year for a match, which means even smaller gifts add up to something bigger.
What platforms or systems do companies use?
Many companies use platforms like Benevity, CyberGrants, YourCause, and Bright Funds to manage their matching gift programs. We’ve listed some below to help guide you through the process, if we are not listed in your employers platform contact us with details.
What if my company isn’t listed?
If your employer isn’t listed, they might still have a program. Ask your HR department, and we’re happy to help you navigate the process.
